Ferrari LaFerrari

DOUBLE-DIP REV SESSION

Price   £1 million | ferrari.com

Hybrid cars are all about compromise. About accepting reduced power in return for the warm green glow of environmental do-goodingness. About specs being downgraded as fuel economy levels are raised. Well somebody forgot to tell  Ferrari – because its brilliantly named LaFerrari supercar is  about as much of a compromise as a date with the world’s second most beautiful woman. Its 6.3l V12 engine spews out 800hp – until you fire up the electric motor, at which point  you’ll be sitting on 963hp of pure Italian vroom. It also gets   KERS tech from Ferrari’s F1 cars, a sub-3 second 0-60 time and  a top speed of 217mph. Shame only 499 are being made.   So there is a compromise after all. As hot as… being burned and electrocuted simultaneously
