One of Google’s latest acquisition is the start-up Flutter
that has developed an app for Mac OS and Windows, which makes operating media
players via gesture control possible. Android and Chrome OS will also be equipped
with the Touch ID function. Many Android device manufacturers are participating
in the FIDO (Fast Identity Online) project. With FIDO, users won’t only be able
to unlock a mobile device using his fingerprint but it can also be used as
identity proof for online services.
